Inter-Fife Competition 2014

Dunfermline Photographic Association were the host this year for the annual Inter-fife Competition which took place on Sunday 30th March.

Mono and colour prints were judged by Steve McConnell while the projected image competition was judged by George Neilson.

In the Projected Image Competition St Andrews Photographic Society won The Bruce Trophy for the best club entry of 8 digital images with Stan Farrow’s “Umbrella Man” scoring a maximum 20 points and also winning The McKay One World Trophy for best individual portrait.

In the Colour Print Competition, a huge well done to Audrey Peddie, Stan Farrow and John McNairn for scoring 19 points in a very difficult round of scoring.

1st place and The Harding Trophy for the best club entry of 8 colour prints went to Kirkcaldy PS with St Andrews placing 2nd.

In the Mono Print Competition St Andrews retained The Forrester Trophy for the best club entry of 8 mono prints with Stan Farrow’s “Three Carrots” scoring another maximum 20 points. A special mention to Margaret Coull who narrowly missed out on the trophy for the best mono print on the day with “Snow Trek” to Stan who won with “Three Carrots”

Overall a very successful day for the club. We returned 4 trophies on the morning of the competition and came home with 5.
