Summer Update: Shadow Theme, Garden Party

0

June is upon us with the light nights and early dawns , for some with the energy and enthusiasm, you will be making the most of the opportunity. For many it will be holidays at home or abroad. Not forgetting the societies summer activities. Whatever it is you will have plenty photos, some will lie undiscovered on your hard drive.

When the winter nights draw it is a chance to gather these hidden gems and make your own photo book. Today it is easy to prepare a book and have it delivered to the door through on line photo book providers. To help unravel some of the detail I have attached a synopsis of what to look for and who is out there.

I am hoping many of you will have entered a photo into the Premier Lodge competition, we will soon see if someone comes up with a winner. Remember there is still the ‘The Architecture of St Andrews’ Competition and we details of where to send your entries will be provided soon.

Summer Challenge: Shadow

Your committee has been hard at work, employing the latest photo think tanks to come up with the theme for this years Summer Challenge which is shadow. So now it is up to you. More details will follow.

Dates for the Diary

  • Isle of May on the 22nd of June. There are a few already booked so now is the chance to get the Puffin Photo you have always wanted.
  • Garden Party 24th June. This is at Abbey Cottage from 6.00pm onwards. This is a great social get together with the added bonus of a garden with nooks and crannies for that image with a difference.

We may not be meeting again until September, yet there is a lot going on. How much you want to do is up to you.

Chris Reekie,
