Fourth Internal Competition Winners

Well done to all those members placed in last Wednesdays 4th (and last!) internal competition. Special thanks to the judge, Dave Hunt, who gave us all very useful insights into the work. Here goes with the top rankings:

• PDIs: First place went to John McNairn with ‘Rachelle S’, Second to David Wallace with ‘Old Press’, Third to Gerry Priest with ‘Whiskers’. Dave also Commended the following entries – ‘Seedhead’ by Helen Willis, ‘Frosty Peebles’ by Gerry Meyer and ‘Seascape’ by John Drummond.
• Mono Prints: First place, Audrey Peddie with ‘Fredau’, Second Stan Farrow with ‘Bottle with Astrantia’ and Third place to John McNairn with ‘Light from Above’. Dave Highly Commended ‘Three Feathers’ by Stan Farrow and ‘Moneydie Tree’ by Chris Reekie, and Commended John Drummond for ‘Shore 1’ and ‘Shore 2’.
• Colour Prints: First place, Stan Farrow with ‘Fishknives and Feather’, Second and Third places to Nicola Shepherd with ‘Persian Buttercups, Spring glory, Summer decay’ (thanks for that title Nicola!) and ‘A Perfect Pose’. Dave also Highly Commended ‘Driftwood at Dawn’ by Gerry Priest, and Commended ‘Boarhills Bothy’ by Chris Reekie and ‘Floating’ by Dave Vallis.

With that being the final Internal Comp of the year you now only have to wait until the AGM on the 23rd March for the cup winners announcements!
