Wilson Quaich Awarded for 2019

Congratulations to St Andrews Photographic Society member — and club president — Nicola Shepherd. She’s the recipient of this year’s Wilson Quaich, awarded by an external judge for the best single photograph in the society’s annual exhibition, for her photograph titled “Deserted Olive Grove Babarti”.

This year’s judge was local photographer Peter Adamson, who’s due to present a talk on “Photography — Old St Andrews, Past and Present,” at the club on Oct. 9. Peter was careful to note that he reviewed all of the photographs in this year’s exhibition without first looking at the author!

Nicola’s photograph continues to be part of the club’s annual exhibition, which is hanging throughout October at Holy Trinity Church on South Street in St Andrews, as part of this year’s town-wide St Andrews Photography Festival.
