The Scottish Photographic Federation (SPF) Digital Championship was held in Stirling on Sunday 17th November where St Andrews Photographic Society achieved a fantastic result, finishing joint 4th alongside Carluke CC in the competition. In total 28 clubs from across Scotland were competing on the day.
Dumfries Camera Club finished 1st, Ayr Photographic Society 2nd and Eastwood Camera Club 3rd. St Andrews finished only 4 points behind the overall winners which is a wonderful achievement, especially as other much bigger clubs such as Edinburgh and Dundee failed to qualify for the final.
Congratulations go especially to Nicola Shepherd who won a silver medal for the Best Creative Image in the competition – “Awaiting Classification”.
Other images that gained the full 15 marks from the three judges were -“Boxing Hare” by Chris Reekie and “Lofoten Living” by Alison Smith. Several other images gained 14 out of 15 possible marks.
The Society’s thanks go to everyone who submitted work for this competition. Without their help the Society would not have had such a successful entry.
