It was a pleasure to welcome this week Tina Boswell a former member who gave us a presentation which she titled “From clueless beginner to wildlife photography obsession.” It was on a field trip with the society to Morton Lochs near Tayport that kindled the light in Tina that became her passion. She was originally a Landscape artist and a Lawyer, but she has put both behind and along with her husband run a successful wildlife photography business. She now has a portfolio of over 100,000 wildlife photographs as she deletes only the poorest images. A Nikon D850 is the camera that she mainly uses for her field – work and she advises that you should know all aspects and functions of your chosen camera. Transferring her images onto her computer she has studied diligently all the advantages that the program “Light Room” can give a photographer to enhance and enrich their raw images. Eagles featured prominently in the images shown by her which are taken mostly in winter at a lakeside hide in Sweden. From Highland Scotland she showed images of Snow Buntings, Owls and Osprey as well Pine Martins and playful Otters. Closer to home terrific shots of Great Tits, Wrens and Puffins as well as Buzzards. Tina is ambitious to promote the wildlife that can be found near anyone’s doorstep. She intends to give guided tours of Fife to introduce other budding photographers to various locations. Thus, enable them to capture the great variety of wildlife available to photograph if you have the time and patience needed to enhance your craft. The audience thanked Tina after many questions in the usual manner
